If producing stator coils by this kind of machine, it will be eaiser to insert coils of stators with high slot fill factor & small slot opening width. To some degree, it can save labor effecitvely.

Step 1: The transfer cup (coil cup) is mounted onto the winding station and precisely located by pins/surfaces. A clamping mechanism secures the cup to prevent vibration or misalignment.
Step 2: The enameled wire is fed from the payoff unit through guide rollers and a tension control system (mechanical/magnetic powder/servo tension) to maintain stable wire tension.
Step 3: The winding head (commonly a flyer/rotary winding arm with a wire nozzle) moves to the start position, and the wire end is fixed to the cup by a hooking slot or a wire clamping device.
Step 4: The winding mechanism follows a programmed motion path (rotation plus wire guiding/reciprocation) to wind the wire onto the transfer cup turn by turn, forming the required coil shape.
Step 5: The wire arranging system controls turn-to-turn and layer-to-layer distribution to prevent crossing, collapse, or uneven coil build-up, ensuring consistent coil forming for the insertion process.
Step 6: The control system performs turn counting and executes layer change/direction change and coil grouping as required by the winding pattern.
Step 7: After winding is completed, the wire tail is tensioned and secured, then clamped and cut at a defined position to ensure consistent lead length and stable coil holding.
Step 8: The operator removes the transfer cup with the finished coil and transports it to the coil insertion machine, where the coil is taken from the cup and inserted into the stator slots.
